Where is the Space located?

Approach by car:

• Link to the map
• leave the A71 at exit "Ilmenau Ost" (No. 15)
• at the round-about at the freeway exit take the first exit towards Ilmenau
• follow the road "Bücheloher Strasse" in the direction of Ilmenau, pass the Globus DIY store, car dealerships and the Agip gas station
• pass the pedestrian crosswalk (with the sign on the left to the Schülerfreizeitzentrum - SFZ)
• at the round-about next to the car repair/rental shop, take the third exit in the direction of the car repair shop
• follow the road "Ziegelhüttenweg" to the road-junction, then follow the sign to the left
• use the gravelled area for parking, the entrance-gate is directly at the opposite of it.

Arrival by train:

• Link to the map
• drive to Ilmenau train station
• go through the station, then keep right
• follow the road "Ludwig-Jahn-Strasse" between bus station, parking lot and the snack bars
• turn right at the crossroads into the road "Schlachthofstrasse" and turn to the red "Nelson Mandela Bridge"
• cross the bridge, turn left at first possibility and after that keep right
• walk towards the trees in a row (there are also signposts)
• pass "Barracke 5" at the left side and walk on the embankment between the ponds
• go straight to the playground, and turn left. follow the bend at the "Haus am See" to the left
• walk along the green fence and pass by the zoo at the right
• do not use the service entrance to the SFZ, but the gate between the buildings
